I am about to buy a vise. I have to mount it in my garrage and I have a space problem. I have two options:
1. A 100lbs blacksmith vise that I put on the concrete floor than attach to the wall directly. When I need a horizontal grip, I can put a small vise (that I already have) in the blacksmith vise.
2. A 10lbs (or less) vise that works from 0° to 90°, mounted on a one foot large workbench (I have 1 1/4 ' to put my vise, bench, etc.. and keep enough space to enter the car when not working
)
The price for the two solutions is pretty much the same. Could you please give me your opinion on which one to go for? Here are the two "beasts". I'll add the pics, "borrowed" from the net.
