I think I decided on vg-10 as my next blade steel spyderco offers a ton of knives in it. Alright so I currently have a benchmade mini grip, so i'm comparing my next spyderco to it in some ways. I really like how light it is, and how it feels in your hand. Third is the fact that it carrys well in my mechanics work uniform, not too big. But its not a little tiny pen knife either. So im thinking about getting one of these. Centofante 3, caly 3, D'Allara, Delica 4, and Native III. What are you guys opinions on these knives???
Also do you guys prefer g-10 or FRN??

Most people here are going to probably recommend the Caly 3. And most will also say G-10 over FRN. That is what I would do. I like the Centofante design and the Endura is a great knife, especialy considering the cost. The Native III is nice too, but from what I have heard about the caly 3 it won't come close. Good luck.

The Delica 4 is the only knife i have experience with and it is incredible. Excelent edge holding and prety good ergos.

I can't comment on the Caly or Centofante, but I can say that the Native and D'allara are very different knives. The Native is a big cutter in a little package. It is slim and light, truly a little big knife. The D'allara on the other hand is just a big knife period. For the things you cited with the Mini Grip, I don't think the D'allara is the best of these choices. I haven't handled a Mini Grip to compare, but I can say the D'allare is quite wide closed, and the handle is the thickest pocket knife handle I have held. Also, it weighs in at 5.1 oz, nearly twice the Mini Grip, and still nearly 2 oz heavier than a regular Grip. If you can get passed the weight and carry issue, you will find that the D'allara is a heck of a knife. For my heavier use, I much prefer my D'allara over my Endura.

I've got the Native, Delica, and Caly3. They're all good, for just one, I'd take the Caly. It sits low in the pocket. I also like smaller folders, don't care for larger ones. If you do, then you might go a different route. All good!

Everyone is saying that zdp-189 has a longer lasting edge than vg-10 what about the laminated zdp-189 how well does it compare to vg-10???

The laminations are on the sides, away from the edge. So performance-wise, laminated ZDP 189 is the same a ZDP 189, and yes, the edge lasts much longer than VG 10.

After sharpening the zdp laminates dont get to the point where you just the other steel left on the edge do they?

Al Mar Mini SERE It carries great in the pocket with a low carry clip. Locks up vault like and very smooth.....Oh and the blade is VG-10 ang the G-10 is very grippy...

Alright guys I have another dilemma now. I can get either just the caly 3 w/ g10 handles. Or I can get calypso jr with zdp-189 and the delica 4. Or calypso jr with zdp-189 and the centofante 3.
Which would you guys go with???
