I am looking for a good tomahawk with maybe a 2 lb. head and a 30 inch or so long fiberglass or synthetic handle. I am leary of having the handle break. I have searched high and low on the internet and have not come up with anything. Does anybody have any ideas as to where I could find something like this?

Yea, I looked at the Gerber's but I would rather have the usual tomahawk head with the eye in it. Something about the head being hafted into the handle (as in Gerber's design) just doesn't inspire confidence in me. Has anybody tried to install a fiberglass handle on any kind of a tomahawk head?

you can go on ebay there are some people who forge their own heads and make their own handles. But just out of curiosity why would want a 30" handle. A 30" handle would be an axe not a tomahawk. tomahawks rarely go over 19 inch handles and most are around 16" to 17". But anyway they will work with you and they arent that expensive! hope this helps!
