Please help me fix windows problem

Hi. My names Pete. I'm a bit of a computer nwby and did something weird. I undid google chrome ( didn't like it ). Afterwards, my desktop icons shortcuts like internet explorer and Google , wouldn't take me directly to google; instead always to the properties page, where I had to select the program to open google. Could you please help? and thank-you.

Ok, I'm gonna assume you still have Internet Explorer on your computer. Open it normally, so your get the browser window, click "Tools" it should be under where you type in URL's. Go to "Internet Options", at the bottom. And go to the "Programs" tab. There should be an option to "Set Default" which should set Internet Explorer as your default browser. There's also an option to have it notify you if it's not your default browser, you can check that box if you want to also.

If that doesnt help, lemme know.
