I found this knife in a old tacklebox, on the blade it reads "Cutlery Works Germany" there is another name that starts with a "G" but I can't make out the rest of it. Can anyone give me any history and a value if any? Thanks in advance.

Welcome to the forums, Orlando. Always nice to see a new person.

You are much more likely to get a good answer to your question on the Bernard Levine forum, also in the General forums group.

I don't believe I've ever tried to correct anyone's spelling before, certainly not from a new forumite. Still, I do think that the one word that should be spelled correctly on these forums is "KNIFE". It is not "knief". It is perfectly okay to spell "blade" as "balde" -- it happens all the time.

Bugs, Thanks for the info. I realized my spelling was bad but didn't see the edit button. I'll try the other places to post my question.

It looks like its German. Similar to German hunting knives with deerfoot handles I have seen but with a smaller dagger blade instead.
