On the blade it says Missouri hunting knife and it’s stamped Jackson Stacey &Smith Sheffield it has two blades and a stag handle I believe. To be a folding knife it is quite large, the main blade is just over 4 inches long and the handle is 6 inches long making just over 10 inches long with the main blade opened. The secondary blade is two and three quarters of an inch long. Also on the main blade there is an eagle clutching crossed arrows and a banner that says best quality. If anyone can tell more about this knife I would be very appreciative. Thank you in advance for your help

I’m new and trying to figure out how to post pictures, if you could possibly give me some advice I will be more than appreciative. Thank you

If you can get working pictures we might can tell you who made it and/or how old it is but for value w/o the proper membership you are on your own.

I cannot find much info, but a Google Search did find a thread on a similarly branded backsaw, and that thread suggests that the Jackson Stacey & Smith partnership was a Sheffield export partnership that was short lived in the mid-19th century. I have no idea what that means for your knife.

Take a pic, take a screen shot, click on camera icon, select the non thumb mail option, and load. That works for me on my phone.

That won't work for him he doesn't have a paid membership, so no attachment privileges. He will have to put the picture on an image hosting site someplace on the web, and then link to it.

O.B.

To post pictures you will need to upload your pictures at a place like imgur.com Then either post the link to your collection of photos or grab the hyperlink to each image
Something like http://www.imgur.com/blabla/imgname.jpg

Then paste it into the forum.

If you want to embed them you will need the
.jpg link and click the little photo icon on the toolbar just above the reply box and paste the link into it.

Enjoy.
