I have a Pocket Hobbit that I just acquired that has some features on it I don't remember from the other ones I've owned.
It appears to have an extra spacer at the top of the knife that has some sort of screw in it that appears to be some kind of adjustable blade stop. It also uses a flat head screw for the thumb stud. The lock lever is at the top of the blade like the older models, but I don't rememeber the other stuff. Is it justme or do I have a very early production model PH?

One other question to those in the know re: If this is an old model, can I send it for a tune up? The knife is in pristine condition, but has alittle bit of blade play to it both vertically and horizontally.

Thank you very much! I love this knife!!

Chris,

I believe your Pocket Hobbit is one of the pre-poroduction handmades. If it is, it should be numbered.

Mike,

Thanks for the reply. I can't find any sort of number on the knife. The knife has a metal spacer at the bottom and one at the top where a very tiny hex screw in drilled into it which looks like it can be adjusted to tighten up the vertical lockup of the blade.
If there were a number where would it have been located?

Thanks,

Chris Canis

The # would be engraved on the blade. It is either a PP or Proto. I stil carry # 33 and it is still just as good as new.

Cheers,

TS,

Thanks for the reply. There is no number on the blade so I guess I'll just have to wonder if it is a proto or PP. That's ok though because I love it regardless! I don't know why I ever got rid of the other ones I had. I have another New Model on the way just for kicks!
