I saw this knife {Britsh MOD-4 rescue and survival knife} in shop. I like it very much but I don't know if it will be "good survival knife". I was looking for some information but I couldn't find any test or more detailed information. It meseures
12-1/4'' blade 6-7/8'' 1/4'' thick.

What do You think abaut this knife ? Will it be great tool? Maybe You know something abaut it?

Help me.

EVERY test I have ever read about this knife has ended with the same opinion....They're CRAP. Don't waste your money on one!
:barf: :barf:

I hate this knife with a vengeance, being a knife nut. I saw too many British soldiers hauling this thug of a knife around. It can prise off the turret of a tank. It can't cut butter even when hot and it weighs a ton.

The early versions were marginally better being of a thinner stock. Many I saw were reworked. You won't break it. Save your money and buy a bar of stock steel.

I know some blade maker here in Poland. And I want him to make me knife. Maybe You have some project of survival knife

You should look at the Fallkniven line of knives. The F1 and the S1 have been apporved as survival knives by some of the U.S. Military as well as the Swedish and Finnish military. I you want to have your friend make you a knife then have him look at the Fallknivens...they are a proven disign and tough as they come and the VG-10 steel is quite stain resistant too.
