Uploading to a dedicated photo hosting site such as Photobucket does. Once uploaded, you can either post the IMG link if the service provides it, or you can copy the web address and paste it into your post, wrapped in BBS code like this:

That's a Direware Solo with a jade green G10 front scale.

It's a particularly expensive knife that I want so badly it hurts my heart.
