Hi, I am in love with the Maserin Dolphin http://www.coltelleriacollini.it/cg...0e201dd82982719c348d40106cf/Product/View/2932 a tiny italian foldable. My doubts are about the handle material, wood ora G10.
The G10 one has not the metal belt clip that the wooden ones has but the clip is screwed near the edge so I fear it is easily breakable.
Because this is an italia knife, olive may be the right wood for the handle; what do you think?
Also, a little holster suitable for this little knife? leather or better kydex?

Wood has a more "gentlemanly" appearance, G10 has better grip. The intended role of the knife is what I would use to drive my choice.

Pocket clips, generally, don't need to be very sturdy, because all they do is hold the knife in place. If you anticipate being in places where clearances are so tight that your pocket clip may get caught, you may want to look at a different kind of knife. Or, just drop it in your pocket before you go in. I have to say, though, I've never found myself in a situation where the pocket clip on my knife failed. Pens? Yes. But that's for Gadgets & Gear.

Putting it in a sheath makes any questions about pocket clips totally moot, anyway.

Leather is a little harder to put together, what with the stitching, and will cost you more to have made. It also requires more care than kydex, but makes it easier to secure your knife against really rough traveling.

Kydex is easier to form into sheaths, and needs less care, but it takes some work to get it right. If the fit is too loose, the knife can fall out when the sheath warms up. This happened to a knife I have while it was in my pocket(!)

It is a very small knife so about the grip I look ad the appearance and about the pouch, do you know someone or internet service which buid kydex pouch from scratch?

Kydex?

Tom Krein. He did a re-sheath for my Dogfish (still need to post pics...), and it came back better than "factory".

He's here in the Forums. Just type his name into the search bar, one of the entries should get you his e-mail.
