This one looks like an early version, late 1942 or early 1943.... because (IMHO)

1) red spacers - tended to only be on the first batches produced
2) the pommel is broken off and the remains of the pommel attachment point on the butt of the tang "appears" to be round, which would match the earliest versions that round tang tips peened tight.

Just my opinion. Maybe sactroop will drop by and correct me if I'm wrong. Wouldn't be the first time I put my foot in my mouth. :D
