Please help me with age, info or anything else you can, SHEATH for KA-BAR(s)

The sheath appears to be of the appropriate style and construction to be a match to the first MK2 knives - fold over belt loop, welt and welt wedge at the top, 9 rivets (2nd version had 9 staples, 3rd dropped to 7 staples). The discrepancy I see is that the leather is dyed black. All WW2 MK2 sheaths were brown. Black didn't become the official color until the VN era. The lighting of the pic makes it look like the black has been added later as it looks like brown dyed leather is showing through scuff marks on the back... could be wrong about that.

Hope all this helps.

I agree that the sheath looks right for the knife pictured. I wouldn't worry too much about the black dye on the leather. Removing it would probably do more damage than good. It's part of the knifes untold story.
