I have a sword. It is 29" from top to bottom. It has some type of copper medallion on the top with whay I believe to be latin writing. I have done some reserch and hae found the following info from this link.
http://translate.google.com/transla...sult&prev=/search?q=consalvvs+&hl=en&lr=&sa=G
It has some carvings in black and red. There are some copper spots begining to turn green. The wrting on the sword says the following:
CONCA IVI ACIDARI VICTORIA
DE CALLIS AD CANNAS
CONSALVVS ACIDARIUS TVP CAL DEI PRCD
DICTAV TORIII
ARTA ITALIE PACE IANVM CLAVSIT.
I just want to figure out if I can sell or, hold on to it, or whatever.
Thanks

It's nearly impossible to identify any sword/knife with out detailed Pictures. ;)

the pictures in that link are the same as on the handle of the sword, I'll snap some pix of the sword itself and post in a bit...
