This a revision of a previous post. I have two forged knives that are of Japanese make. (I thought they were Chinese, not) If you take a look at the pictures, I'm hoping someone can properly translate the blade stampings.
I'm curious to know the correct name for this type knife, and when, where
and who might have made them. These knives are stiff (1/8") and have a right side beveled edge. Black handle is laminated wood with 5 7/8" blade.
The other is solid rosewood with a 5 3/8" blade.
