Yesterday I bought a model 194B and a 194G. They remind me of a trapper style knife but with only the clip blade (w/lock). The blades are etched "Limited Edition" and the blade tang is marked "SCHRADE" on one line and "COPE USA" on the second line of the B model and "SKOAL USA" on the G model. Both knives have a SCHRADE shield on the left scale. No other markings are evident.

Several questions come to mind:

When were these knives made?
How many were made?
Is this pattern still made?
What kind of steel was used?
Why were they "Limited Edition"?

They are well made and quite substantial.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Mike

I cant answer any of your questions about how many of the limited editions were made or any of that.

I can say that the pattern itself is still made....I got mine at Ace hardware. Its the model 194 in the Old Timer line. Its known as the Gunstock Trapper. It is a great knife.

Is it possible that no one from Schrade monitors this forum. I would really like to know more about these knives.

HELP!

Mike
