Hey guys.
I'm going on vacation to Arizona next week and i have a question
Will my hinderer rust easy.. it has the 20cv steel.
Also will the ti rust easy.
I live in MN so i dont have those problems.

I live in the NE - but I think that relative humidity is much lower in AZ than in MN.

Ti does not rust at all, the blade should not rust too much i'd keep it well oiled throughout your stay.

Yep the Ti will not rust at all.

And like Leon mentioned, just make sure to oil it well.

I think you'll be perfectly fine.

Isn't 20cv stainless? Anyway most of Arizona is pretty dry. What part are you going to?

I grew up in AZ and currently live in MN. AZ is very dry. MN in the summer is much more humid. Also 20cv is Duratech's version of Bohlers M390 which is very stain resistant.

You're going to one of the driest states in the country, so just do what you've been doing and you'll be fine.

I live in a very humid area, and I've never had a SS rust. Well, I have gotten a spec on ATS-34, but its the least stainless of stainless steels. I also didn't have any oil on it, or it would've never happened.
You have nothing to worry about.

In another thread you said you where 13....and you have a hinder...I need to get saving lol

If you're flying, I would not take it in my checked baggage and expect it to be there when I arrive.

Please put more info in the title of your threads as a courtesy to other forum members. For instance, something like "How rust proof is a Hinderer in 20cv?" would have been good.

Those are exactly the folks you want to keep away from anything you want to keep.

Most of the time the people who steal your stuff is the people who transport the baggage. The only people who can open the TSA lock. Are the people who inspect your luggage.

I don't know about the TSA lock but I would never put a knife that I care anything about in my luggage.I recommend mailing it ahead ,if you have a trusted person you can send it to.I also thought about putting knives in a locked pistol case and checking it in as a gun.I think the baggage handlers are alot less likely to steal a gun.I have not tested this method though.Good luck and have fun in AZ.
