This guy I work with claims to have a wustof fillet knife that cost him 600 bucks. Just the one knife. Now I know that Wustof is expensive, but 600? I could get a handmade or 2 for that price..
Has anyone ever seen a fillet knife this expensive?

I've seen 'em for $60 or $70 but I don't know about any $600 Wusthofs. I guess there could be, but I've never seen one.

Sounds like some guys I've worked with. They have a compulsion to tell stories that they can't possibly expect you to believe, but they'll swear they're true.

I think he might be having a lend of you, (as we say here in Oz), the most expensive single one I've seen is HERE. (It's actually a two knife set.)
