Please ID Jayne's bowie knife, from Firefly (Serenity)

The title pretty much says it all. I think he uses a stag handled knife in one of the episodes, but I don't really care about that one. The ID I'd like to know is for a bowie that is blued and has filework on about 1/2 of the spine, and it has a straight handle too. I'm pretty sure I've seen this bowie somewhere before, but I just can't remember where. I think it's a handmade, but I also think it's a mass produced handmade knife that a maker or company produces a lot of, kind of like entrek or MMHW or something like that.. Of course, I can't be 100% sure.

Thanks, but someone here has got to know. I know I've seen that bowie before, and that means someone else has too!

glad to see a Firefly fan. Sucks that the show got cancelled


even though the show is an action western, I liked how the characters used knives for other purposes beside killing people. I remember one episode where knives were only used for peeling apples.

If you were a real Firefly fan, you'd know that the knives were used for cutting the apples, not peeling them. ;)
Also, I'm not the only Firefly fan around here, do a search over in the Community center for Firefly and Serenity, you'll see a lot of chatter.

BTW, Kaylee is hotter than Saffron, unless you're into women's chests.
And no, you can't see her nekkid on the internet. I checked. :D

That's why I like Saffron better. I'm hoping that knife that Jayne has is not just some United Cutlery junk, like the crazy old gangster used to cut the Captains ear off.
 
They were cutting the apples after some Alliance troops hid mini grenades in some during the war, Mal and Zoe always cut their apples after that. I personally like the episode Jaynestown.

tapping foot. someone must know. Could it be a sheffield bowie? It look a lot like one I was looking at on eBay.
