Couple questions for the Busse crowd...

Are all "E-handled" knives made from INFI?

Were there any old-style knives made from
INFI?

Were there any INFI knives made from different stock (thickness)?

Thanks,

Mark

To expound just a bit on evolhd's overly verbose response

, the previous (straight handled) generation of the Combat Line were all made from INFI. Prior to that it appears as though A2 was the steel of choice at Busse Combat.

As to stock thickness variations, there have been some special runs of knives with 5/16ths inch blade widths. I believe that these were primarily manufactured to fill military contracts, but some certainly have made their way into the civilian market as well. There have also been variants made from 5/16ths stock. And, of course, we have seen the recent run of LMSs in the thinner stock.

I have seen some 5/16ths Busse's. The last
one was at a show in So Cal. It was a
Badger Attack with a false edge. Very nice
grinds, but the owner/dealer did not want
to part with it.

Thanks again,
Mark
