I know that she did not intend to make a big deal out of it, and that he would not even mention it, but in passing Yangdu mentioned in an e-mail that Uncle Bill was not having a good day today.

I also know we are all sending smoke and prayers at the request of Lion's Roar and Cliff and Yvsa already today, and are always pulling for Uncle Bill anyway, but I thought a special reminder might be in order, to give him a boost so to speak! Christmas is a lousy time to feel lousy...!

Luckily I am working at home today so can start my smoke up a bit earlier than usual, for all concerned. :)

Thanks & regards,

Norm

Thanks, Norm. A little smoke going up this evening for all of those who need it.

smoke on-going.

The old man and the pond

An elderly man in Florida had owned a large farm for several years. He had a large pond in the back, fixed up nice; picnic tables horseshoe courts, some apple and peach trees. The pond was properly shaped and fixed up for swimming when it was built.

One evening the old farmer decided to go down to the pond, as he hadn't been there for a while, and look it over. He grabbed a five gallon bucket to bring back some fruit. As he neared the pond, he heard voices shouting and laughing with glee. As he came closer he saw it was a bunch of young women skinny-dipping in his pond. He made the women aware of his presence and they all went to the deep end.

One of the women shouted to him, "We're not coming out until you leave!"

The old man frowned, "I didn't come down here to watch you ladies swim naked or make you get out of the pond."

Holding the bucket up he said, "I'm here to feed the alligator."

Moral: Old men can still think fast.

Sounds like Uncle Bill!
Smoke going up intermittently for all.

Many thanks for nice thoughts and consideration.

Yangdu wasn't kidding. Today was the worst I've had in a long time. But I survived it and sort of came to life this evening. Maybe the paw paw and Medicine Buddha are beginning to work.

Glad you survived the day! :) You've got a 25,900 day (accurate math is not my forte") streak going  :D Keep up the good work. I my self am only in the 16,000's :)

Good thoughts go your (and Yandu's) way everytime I'm on BFC! (4 times a day min)
Which is more times than my wife would like. But hey, I don't drink, smoke or chase women other than my wife ;) She can't complain too much....come to think of it, she's never actually complained. Tho sometimes I get "the look".
