The anodized color is not a consistent color, one on 42A it can look purple, on another it can look blue. I don't think any 2 have the exact color since it's pretty hard to get the same color time and time again.

Mine is "mottled" for lack of a better word, quite attractive actually. And the anodizing has really lasted. It just does not show on the pic, the mottled effect. Lots of various shades of blue and purple.

nice knife don!

is it possible to take it off if i dont like the finish on the one i get?

Yep, mottled is a better word for it. THanks Don. I am amazed how durable the finish has been! The latch has hit the inside of the safe handle about 30 times. Not a single mark. The handles are also wear free where my fingers go. I am impressed. I was told anodized Ti would wear very fast.

Haha Don's got a pocket rocket, right on : ). Ya got any SB2s to go along with that?-

That little Pocket Rocket is almost a perfect bitch to use! Man, if you're used to regular sized Yo-Yos, it is really hard to catch. I'm not used to it yet.

As for the SB2, it is on the list of things to get! That little Kuhn P-Rocket has the same Trans-Axle as the SB2. When it sleeps, it damn near sounds like a Dremel Moto-Tool.

I ordered both and received them a couple of days ago

Although I'm a yo-newbie, I think the Pocket
Rocket is hard to control, but the SB-2 is a dream, sleeps forever, and breaks ones knuckles with ease

Excuse me for this OT post.

The Pocket Rocket is hard to control, no doubt. I've been thinking of an SB2 for some time...I have to get one.

They are very powerful Yo-Yos, and if you get radical with them

, your Dentist might have to get radical with you.

I tried to get rid of my homemade thermal coloring and i don't know if it wears as good/bad as the anodizing but i used steel wool and nothing happend!

I'd say that it "sticks" pretty good, colored ti looks awesome

I'm definitely getting a few more and learning to do more even coloring, great fun personalizing one's balis!!

Don:
Just keep with that Pocket Rocket,it's definately a challenging yoyo, much harder than a regular sized yoyo. But that's it's whole appeal, being able to pull off cool looking tricks with a yoyo you can barely see.
My yoyo collection is in upward of about 200 yoyo and growing, and the pocket rocket is my EDC yoyo.I got the pocket sized duncan yoyo that came with the holster clip that doubles as a keychain, then I just used the holster/clip for my pocket rocket cause they're practically the same size so the "PR" fits perfectly.
I have it attached to my keychain so it always is with me,I can never forget to bring it with me when I leave the house.
BTW you can find the duncan mini yoyo with the holster clip in places like wal-mart and toys-r-us,if anybody's interested in one for their "PR".
Sorry for this OT post, but since I saw that it had to do with yoyo's i had to say something.

You can take the anodization off with some sandpaper.

Very interesting! Sounds like David Brunner's Collection! He has some neat stuff he was telling me about, "BanditYo," that is.

The PR is a PAIN, but I am going to stick with it, and get an SB2 to boot.

I think my favorite Yo-Yos of all time are the Yomega Fireball and Strobe, as well as this PR I cannot control yet.

Heh david brunner does have a pretty good collection... In fact, i'm on "team yoyojam" with him, and he has a couple of his own signature yoyos on the market (go to www.yoyojam.com )... I met him at the world yoyo competition last year in florida, but i didn't know he was into knives until this year. But he sucks at yoyoing ; P-
