This forum is populated by people from all over the world. So it would be fun to know wich "homemade" knifes you are most proud of. The best knives in the country. Since I am from Sweden I have to pick the Classic Mora knife. We got the famous Fallkniven and EKA but I think Mora knives are the best and most Swedish knife. And it´s cheap to! Pleas post pics of your countrys most famous knives. Just production knives, no customs!

I live in the Netherlands and we don't have Dutch production blades:grumpy:.
(but there are a lot of European brands)

The most used knives are/were "Herders".
This was a company from Germany that sold most of there knives to the Netherlands.

I live in the north of the Netherlands in a part called Friesland.
We even have a saying here about this knife.

The brand is: Friedrich Herder abr. Sohn.

You call it sodbuster.
If i remember right Friedrich Herder stopped production and everything was sold to a Usa company (could be smokey mountain) and the mules are made just like the "Herders".

Thats a little strange to translate.

But in my language is says:"Myn Herder is myn redder".
It means something like : My Herder knife is my saver/rescuer.
:p

I'm not sure what my country's top blade is, but I'm pretty sure the Busse Killa Zilla II dry humps the competition up to this point.
 :)

Hoping mine arrives tomorrow...

Not sure what you're asking. You want the best knife produced by a country, or the most archetypal or what?

If any knife just screams USA, I'd think it would be some sort of big honking bowie.

I think the Ghroman Knife company, produces a very nice Canadian fixed blade.
