Some of you know, some do not. My wife was diagnosed with lupus a 1 1/2 ago. Since then she has been on prednisone, which has not helped. prednisone can cause cancer and now they want to try to use a new experimental type of drug that has a high chance of causing lymphomic cancer. Its bad when your specialist is getting frustrated with you, and this is what is happening now. He sent paper work on this new drug home with her last week (it seemed like to absolve them of any liability). My wife of course is depressed and upset. She already has a bad heart problem with the lupus. She was taking viox and we just found out of course that it has increased her risk for a stroke.

Please pray for her and ask anyone you can to pray for her also. Also for me as it is hard on me also. She needs the Lord's healing touch in this, without a doubt. For those who are not familar with lupus it is a disease where your bodies immnue system is attacking its own organs with the intent of destroying them like an infection. The survival rate is better than it use to be (use to be 6-9 years) for most, but my wife is fallling into the "not so good" category. Doctors cannot heal anything, only treat symptoms. In this case they cannot even do this. Only the Lord can heal her. She is only 28, 6 1/2 years younger than myself. This has really been hard on the both of us.

I appreciate any prayers.

The Lord bless you guys!!!!

Sincerely in Christ's love,
John

Lupus. Ouchie. :(

I'll have a talk with the Man on your behalf. :)

What hospital and doc are you using? I know quite a few in NE Ohio.

You'll have my prayers. The Lord can work miracles for He is the Almighty One. He never sleeps and His love never ends. Draw upon His strength and He will not fail you in your time of need. His answer is not always our answer, but He will be there for you and your wife.

I'm a deist, but God and me talked when I was young.

I'll do my best, father, understand it is hard for me and others, obviously not anywhere near as hard as it must be for you or your dear wife. :( My feeble mind can't even compel with what you both must going through. I say this with nothing but respect and honor, and but hope that others here are stronger than me.

Semper Fidelis, never forget.

Thank you everyone, it is very much appreciated!!! Last night she was able to sleep a little, 1st time in days, praise God for that!!!

Thank you for all your prayers and concern!!!! Truly the Lord is at work!!!!!

Also God has provided something she has needed, a support group. A while back I had tried to enocurage her to join a support group, but at the time she was uneasy about it. Well "out of the blue" this morning someone I use to work in ministry with in the past e-mailed me. Evidently he and others are forming a "chronic illness" support group and wondered if my wife was interested. Well I forwarded the e-mail to her. She seems interested. This comes at a much needed time!!!

Thank you guys again, it is so much aprpeciated, I cannot begin to describe how much!!!

The Lord bless you all abundantly for your concern, kindness and prayers!!!

Sincerely in Christ's love,
John

Rev,

My mother-in-law was diagnosed a few years back and went through may of the same try this drug and let's see if that helps, thing. Those were very trying times. She has been on some new medication as of late, and has been doing excellent. I am not sure what she is on, but I will find out and post it here for you. Stay strong and stay positive.

Your wife is in my prayers--and in the prayers of many fellow forumites. God listens. I have an aunt with lupus whom I love dearly. Prayer is a way by which good people who have never met can help each other.

Thnks Guys I appreciate it!!! Bless my Wife's heart. Thursday night I fell backwards in my living room and punctured the back of my head on the corner of our coffee table (it bled fariry well). As bad as she felt she took me to the emergency room and I had to have staples put in. We ended up there all night and got home the next day at almost 2:30 AM. She felt worse (from the disease) after staying up all night, but she is did not complain (bless her heart). Guys please keep me in your prayers also. it seems my fall has messed with my memory, balance, and Ive had bad headaches now for almsot 5 days.

Thanks again for all the prayers, it is very much appreciated!!!

The Lord bless you guys!!!

In his love,
John
