I'm freaking out a little bit and need some reassurance from you guys. I'm sure it's not a huge deal but I still have a sick feeling in the pit of my stomach.

Last night I set out to take down my 25 for a little PM and things went south quickly. To make a long story short, I have 2 handle screws with stripped allen heads. The screws wouldn't budge so I tried to give it extra force and the allen head gave out. I use the same procedure with locktite on all of my knives and have never had a problem until now so I guess it was an accumulation of locktite residue in the threads that gummed up the works. Bummer.

One of these days I'm going to want to get it fixed so I'm wondering how big of a deal it is. Is this a big deal for CRK to fix? I'll keep using it until it needs a rehab then send it in for a spa day and some new screws. Please tell me this isn't that big of a deal!

Rest easy brother. On an issue scale of 1-10 this issue doesn't even register. Send it in when ready and they will take care of you. In my opinion, they have the best warranty and customer service in the business.

I sent a sebenza with stripped hardware in to their spa and they got them out and replaced them for free, no extra charge or time. You could also try heating up the pins a little to loosen the locktite.

Yes, they will take care of you! In the future, it is best to warm up the screws to loosen the locktight and avoid stripping screws. I learned this the hard way:rolleyes:

I'm not sure about heating it to loosen the Loctite. I put one in the microwave and when I came back, the kitchen was toasted.

I sent one in with a stripped screw a few years ago and they fixed it no problems. They even sent the stripped screw back with the repaired knife. They seem to know what they're doing. ;)

Thanks guys! I feel better already. I keep it in my pocket and send it in when it's time for a facelift.
