Ok, so I'm having issues again. :9 I have an Extrema Ratio Harpoon F on order from target-masters.net. Here's my dillemma: I REALLY like the looks of the knife, and like the features of the sheath. For example, it comes with a drop-leg attachment and extra strap! Pretty cool! It seems to be very well-designed and engineered.

I just feel sorta guilty because I know that there are better knives out there. By all means, the Extrema is far from junk, and I'm sure I'll LOVE it, but I still feel sorta bad knowing how many Striders and Busses and new Swamprats there are out there. I just feel sorta guilty not buying THE ABSOLUTE BEST. Ya know? What do you think? Do you still buy knives knowing that they're not the ABSOLUTE best?

Help me out with your experiences and collective wisdom!

Dr. Jones, don't feel guilty at all. When that knife comes in use and enjoy every minute of it. Striders and Busses are very good knives, and maybe for your next purchase you'll want to try one. However don't let that taint your view or pleasure of your soon to arrive purchase. You saw something that you liked and wanted, and therefore bought it. I can't think of any better reasons that those. Congrats on your new blade, drop us a post when it arrives :)

You know, you should purchase a knife because you like it. Don't worry about whether it is the best or the most expensive. As long as you are not buying junk, I see no problem in the choice you made. The Striders, Busses and Swamprats can also be purchased of course, and when you feel like buying one I am sure you will.

Just F.Y.I.: I do have a Strider BT and I'm in LOVE!:D Can't wait to tell you about my Extrema as well!
