please read this article

Really interesting, thanks Danny. Do you have any first hand knowledge of this man or this training?

Norm

Kacem is here a month a year or so. I try to train with him when he comes, but he is usually translating for Sensei, so that can be difficult.
He is a very nice guy and good to train with.
He's also quite the dude.
Good looking, french accent, lots of joie de vivre.
If i was a girl, id be all over him.

I dont know many people who are fluent in English, French, Spanish , Italian and Japanese and probably Arabic.

Kacem is an awesome role model and the bujinkan is proud to have him representing us overseas.

He reminds me of the merovingian, but better looking and nice...

DIJ, please keep us advised about this gentleman and his book. I, for one, would be interested in reading it. I have been most interested in books on the connection between Zen and archery, which I find to be exactly in line with what I have learned from 50 years behind the bow.

I wish I could speak English well. Living in Japan saps you of your ability to speak clearly and eloquently.
Anyway, Kacem's book - that WILL be interesting.
Im glad you guys read this, its the kind of thing I have wanted to say but was unable to.

Zen and archery. Kyudo is very interesting and Ill send you all the info you could want about zen archery, but I am getting a little tired of it myself.
I think I am really more interested in kyujutsu - combat-type Japanese archery.
Im going to have to do some research...

Very interesting. One of the few articles on martial arts I've read that I actually believe what is being said.

Thanks for the offer, but at over 60 and with a bad ticker, all I shoot at anymore is paper...but I'm working to introduce the concept to eleven grandkids...... :D

my kyudo teacher is 70 something and all we shoot is paper.
Look it up on the web, I bet youd like it...
ITs kinda like flyfishing, in a way....
