Hello all. I recently started carrying a Fenix TK12 in my bag. Its a nice flashlight and I like it. However, there are occasions that I cannot carry my bag (for practical purposes) and as such I have to rely on the flashlight on my keychain. Currently this is a Maglite Solitaire.

The maglite is alright but it doesn't seem to produce enough light. I was wondering if there was a better flashlight out there that I can stick on my keychain (similar size and weight to the solitaire.)

Thanks in advance folks.

fenix E05 is what i have on my keys. simple twist on, and off for about 30 lumens of floody light.

ive also tried....
olight i3 is a nice 3 level twist activate keychain light.
peak eiger QTC have infinte ramping brightness, great quality, made in the USA.

all of the above use AAA batteries.

If you want a premium keychain light I can recommend the arc AAA. I've had one on my keychain for many years now and it has been reliable. The anodised finish is high quality too, it has minimal wear considering how bashed around things get on a keychain

The Arc AAA was my first LED keychain light. It's amazingly durable, but it isn't very bright. If you're looking for a small light with just one light level, the Fenix E05 would be a great choice.

Fenix E01, replaced my solitaire as well, it may not be the most powerful for the size that you can find, but infinite better than the solitaire, and not expensive.

I second what jacktrades said about the Fenix E01. Its about $15, light weight, and is regulated to provide "flat" output for around 11 hours (as I recall), followed by about another 10 of diminishing light. It is plenty bright in a dark environment.

The real upside to this light is the long runtime. Its what you want if you are stuck in a elevator all night :), or just prefer not to change the battery that often.

Same here. One of my first obsessions.

+1 for the ARC PREMIUM. I am a NYC heavy construction worker and mine is still working after doing tunnel work for close to 10 years. Dropped in water, mud, concrete mix, dropped from 10,15,20,30 feet on to concrete surfaces....no problems, not to mention how long the battery will last. I swear I think the battery lasted a year before I changed it for the first time.

Yes, there is!

Assuming you are sticking to AAA, here you go. I believe it is smaller as well.

For keychain use, I like the Photon X-Light Micro. 12 hours of runtime on high, runs on two CR-2016 batteries, adjustable brightness levels, very small and light in size and sells for around 8 bucks. Also made in USA!

if you're lookin for ultra light (weight-wise) I'd go with a photon, worst part is the two replacement batteries cost as much as the light :(

I have the Fenix E01 on my key chain and find I use the Olight I2 in my pocket almost exclusively. At ~$25 the Olight I2 with it's better AA battery is a real winner in my book. It is about the size of my Spartan SAK and disappears in my pocket until I need it.

I'm going to have to say go with the ITP A1 EOS.... I love this little guy.. 190lumens for 1.6hrs, 35 lumens for 8hrs, and 1.8lumens for 150hours.. 1 cr123 battery though. not a huge deal. The size and ability make this a win.. 2.5inches long..

I can agree on the Photon Micro Light. I have several of these and they are amazingly bright. I have the white lights but they are available in just about any color output. They are not a light that you would wanna use daily due to the battery cost but for occasional and emergency use they are the trick. And the batteries aren't that bad cost wise if you know where to get them.

Hi! I recommend CountyComm's "Maratac" AAA Flashlight. It runs on a single AAA battery and has two/three different modes (CC just released a new version with just two modes, but it's brighter and last longer with the latest one)

Fenix LD01 for me. It's stainless steel so it is a little heavier but it also feels like a really well made tool.

The Titanium Innovations IlluminaTi is a slick upgrade of the Titanium iTP EOS A-3. It runs on one AAA battery, puts out over 100 lumens, has a reversible clip for baseball cap attachment, can tail stand, has three levels of output, attaches to a key chain via a split ring, has no finish to wear off, is lightweight, and is impervious to corrosion.

Fenix L0D in LFP for me. Great light. I also have a Photon on my keychain (RFP) basically just for keyholes.

This looks like a very sweet light - might have to be my next one (if my Fenix would ever go out). Pretty sad when you want something to break or wear out and it won't!
