I know how you feel re your discarded article. I had a Lenox Temperware Grand Mug in the Desert Morn pattern in the office. I liked it because of the Joshua Tree. I had seen it about the time I finished seeing a video that mentioned the park of the same name and thus got the mug.
It was carefully tucked away on the kitchenette shelf in the corner. I went to get it, to have steep some cold tea. It was gone. Now who breaks into an office to steal a mug, even a pricey one!!!??? The best, sort of hesitant explanation I got was that while someone was straightening the shelf--getting rid of some sugar on a tray--it must have gotten discarded. #$$%^&^
Now come on, how many things like that are stamped, made in the USA, by a known U.S. fine china company (don't know where they make anything now), is clean, and new looking, that you would just discard it? Sigh...
