Consult everybody, if the price is the same, you choose which? Benchmade710? Spyderco C81? Emerson CQC7B? Which is better? Please select, thank you

I've had all of the above.

The BM 710 has an axis lock and a curvy grip. I don't like either. I don't trust the tiny little wire springs in the axis lock not to break at the wrong time, and Benchmade won't sell them because they don't trust their customers to properly install a horseshoe shaped piece of wire on their own. I just sold my 710.

The Spyderco Mil Para is a great knife. I dislike the curvy grip. I also dislike the thin tip for utility work. Get the Para if you don't mind a needle thin tip or a curvy grip.

The Emerson is built like a tank, a simple tank. There really isn't anything in it to break or wear out. The grip is almost symmetrical, so it works in a variety of grips. It is also strong out to the tip. It has a chisel grind, which might bother some people. I personally love it, as it's extremely easy to sharpen. Get the CQC-7 if you like the chisel grind, the rectangular grip, and a bomb proof knife. I'm wearing an Emerson in my pocket right now for all of these reasons.

My preference would be the 710 from that list. I have the 710, a PM2 and a Military, and there is no comparison IMO. 710 > PM2 or Military in every way for me.

I like the non-waved Emersons, but the CQC7B is a tanto, which isn't exactly the most useful blade shape (though they do look cool, admittedly).

Realy IMO there all quality knives but with different locks blade shapes ect, I think what ever fits your style, each will serve you well. Personally I'd buy the para or 710 I'm just not a big fan of Emerson's.......

I agree to that ↑↑

As just about everyone has said, they are vastly different knives. It's like saying "Which is better, an orange or a carrot?"

And, the huge thing you left out is "Better for what?" If we don't know that, we can't even begin to answer your question.

They are all fine knives in their own right, there are no wrong answers there.

I'd personally choose the 710.

It's all a matter of personal preference, but I love BM's axis lock.

There are a few Spydercos that I like, just picked up a Tenacious yesterday.

The PM 2 is a great knife but completely different in every way compared to the 710.

I would suggest going down to your local gun shop and try holding a few knives in order to see what works best for you.

I don't have any Emersons, but between the 710 and the PM2 I would pick the 710. Mainly because of the longer and sleeker blade that serves me better for more chores than the PM2. But I carry both of them regularly.

easy for me: 710 !!!!!
only one i would hesitated for chosing would be the bench contego ... *i would probably go for the 710 too though

I have 2 BM 710s and 5 para 2s, so I really like both, but I prefer the compression lock slightly over the axis lock and both much more than a liner lock, personally I also prefer full flat ground blades over saber ground. I did have an Emerson for awhile Emerson's have great ergonomics and I would have a couple if they were priced at what I think they're worth ($75-$125) for the materials and f&f you can expect to get from one (considering a Manix 2 is also US made G10 with a now upgraded steel s30v a more complicated to manufacture lock, and generally noticeably better f&f all for less than half of the average Emerson)

I see a lot of support for the 710 so I will add that the BM 950 is a fantastic knife that I would take over the 710 without much hesitation. 710 is nice but I don't care much for the recurve edge.

I love my Rift, but the 710 is an amazing mix of big and small, IMO. It's thinner and lighter than the Rift, despite having a longer blade.

I will say that the Rift handle is more comfortable to use, though. Then again, I don't mind the recurve at all, so maybe that's part of why I'd prefer the 710 in that comparison.

If you are looking to use the knife for EDC then I would go with the Para2. It's well-built , great Compression lock , light weight for it's size , S30V blade. Just have to be able to find a place that has them in stock because they sell out very quickly. They're that good.

The 710 is decent. But that long blade is much too thin IMO. I do like the Axis lock though. And D2 is pretty nice.

The Emerson is respectable but it doesn't interest me in the least. Nicely constructed but it's a beast so you will always feel it pulling on your pocket. And 154CM is decent but it comes in behind S30V and D2 (my opinion again).
