What do you guys think ? Don't want to scare anybody in the office. I think 3 inch is too long.

You'd be ok with a Benchmade 556 mini-griptillian. The blade is just shy of 3".

think any of the follwing would make a great sub-3" EDC:

Sog Blink
Sog Twitch I
Spyderco Dragonfly
Spyderco Salsa
Benchmade Mini Griptilian

How about a Spyderco Kiwi? Traditional handle material with a premium steel and the convenience of one-hand opening.

Or maybe a stainless steel Spyderco Cricket.

Al Mar SLB.
Spyderco SS Cricket...(It looks soooo cute.:D.).

I second the Spyderco Stainless Steel Cricket, Plain Edge. Great solid little knife.

For office carry, it's hard to beat something from William Henry. The Kestral has a 2 1/8" blade and only weighs 0.8oz with carbon fiber scales.

Kershaw Chive is my current bang-for-the-buck fave. The Benchmade is awesome, the auto-benchmite could end up being my fave in this class

You could also try the Spyderco Ladybug in a non-threatening color like blue or red. I've seen them on ebay at pretty good prices.

Hi,

I carry a Boker damascus pocket knife that will fit in the watch pocket of my jeans, or comfortably in the pocket of slacks. The handles for this style Boker come in Thuya wood, redbone and pearl.

I like the redbone handles but all of the styles are jewels, specially witht the damascus blade (which I polish.) That the blade is a lockback makes it useful for almost *every* task you need a knife for...

Here is a link to a picture from eBay for a similar knife in redbone. Believe me the picture doesn't do justice to the actual knife.

Is it even POSSIBLE that I'm th first one to think of a Victorinox Swiss Army Knife???

I would suggest the Tinker in particular, but there are so many that you need to decide which works for you the best.

I would also suggest that you stick to the Red handles. I think (and experience would seem to show) that even 'sheeple' don't regard a cute little red SAK as a 'weapon'. Though a Black one might begin to look 'menacing'! I have used mine in front of lots of different sheeple and no one even seems to notice. The SAK is practically invisible, flying well under most Sheeple's PC Radar.
