Have to go to a show or get together and be first to win a lottery. As said above, if, and only if they are even offered at the events.

Outside of that, good luck. I have never seen one pop up for sale. Not one that was actually available anyway.

Customs only. You can't order only way to get is to get pulled first in a lottery when he has them.

Don't forget about these guys either. Better chance that there will be a production version of this design than the folder.

Thanks for the responses guys, even though you killed all my hopes and dreams :(

Its a shame I can't just order one, being that ill never win a lottery with one of these. Lame. Maybe one day........

Yep, hard to buy a sold knife.

Sorry I missed that one, was asleep at the wheel. Someone got a darn nice piece. I bet we never see a user pic, shame.

That knife that shows sold was super expensive, well at least the asking price was. I think it was the most I have seen for a custom XM18 3rd Gen.
As for ordering a knife, unless you are military/EMS/police/firefighter, I don't think you can order one anyway.

I was thinking of joining the NZ police about 8 months ago, just felt like a major change of career from engineering.

Oh well, I could just make my own?

Make your own warncliff knife or make your own XM18 with a custom grind warncliff blade?

I'd take the easiest approach, customise an XM-18.

If I had the tools and workshop!

I'd love to have a bash at knife making, my early uni and pre-uni days involved loads of machine shop work, rapid prototyping and cad/cam. CNC was my friend.

Alas I work in civil engineering, largely planning and transport.

Its not surprising, the knife is beautiful. And thats true, figured I would ask and see if it was even possible

Well, the one you see is hand ground but they may actually make a production of that blade style. The only thing is that they are high in demand and can't make enough knives to begin with much less pens, extra scales and tools. But if we wait long enough, they make make a production of that style which i would love to own too. But until then, I'll try to win one =)

I have been pining for a wharncliffe XM for some time, I have seen a few change hands on the secondary market but they are pretty rare, I don't believe too many of them have ever been made.

I don't think I would call Lori's wharnie abused, it is used regularly though.
