Hello Fellows & Gals,

I find myself having to appeal to you fine Buck Knife experts in this great little community.. I just replaced my old belt sheath carry Buck 112 EDC that I have had for a very long time with a knife I just bought off the secondary market from a guy that re-handled and embellished a newer Buck 110 with the Idaho stamp. However, my knowledge forte is more inclined to the older type vintage slip-joints, and I have not kept up with Buck knife company as much as I would have liked too, or as much as I should have.. Of coarse that is about to change in a big way. And even after using the 'search mode' here I still could not find out what I needed to know..

Question: Is the Idaho stamp U.S.A. 110 I have forged in 154cm or S30V or what??

Any and all assistance would be very much appreciated.

Anthony

Very nice 110,I like the Ram's horn w/exposed rivits old school look.
The file work and sheath are nice also.

Thanks Pman,

This fellow re-handled the knife in some very fat Sheep's Horn and when wet you would not believe how sticky/grippy this wonderful material feels in your hand.. He also used several files to create his very unique and tight designed file work on the spine of this knife all the way to the lock button.

Blessings,
Anthony

The fella who did the file work and re-handling that I got this piece from was named Mr. Seals out of southeast Texas..

Best,

Your Idaho tang stamped 110 is 420HC,unless there is a stamp on the reverse side of the blade notating ATS34,154CPM,BG42, or S30V. The blade was ground using the stock removal method, the last forged blades from Buck probably left the factory in 1961. Your 112 is from the era when Buck used 440C.
Nice filework and ram inlays.

Hey Everyone here,

Including Scott Hartman, EEE, 334dave, Pman, etc., etc... and everyone else in case I missed anyone.. God Bless you and yours! Your insight has been very informative and y'all more than answered my questions. Thank You!

Anthony
