what do you think of making a balisong or stiletto handle out of clear acrylic I do not know if it will work but I am willing to try it might shatter. do you think lexan would work better?

I do not know if it would work one way or the other. I have worked with both Lexan and plexiglass and think that you would be much better off going with the Lexan, much stronger in thin sections.

I do not think that either will be very good. Both will scratch extremely fast, and after a short time would be pretty unsightly. Plus, it may break around the pivot after a little while. A bali's tang fork is a relatively small amount of material, and would not stand up to the stress for long. In addition, the tang pins would destroy the cups in the handle when latching it open or closed. The handles on the bali would be far too light for balance, so it probably would not flip at all.

A stiletto may work, but you may want to direct that question to the automatics forum. I don't know enough about how they are built to make a good suggestion.

Be cool if you manage to work it out, post pics if you make it work.

well, I was thinking of lining the inside with metal the clear plexiglass is just for style. I will try with both plastics and see my results.
