Hi I was looking for some foldable pliers similar to leatherman but no multitool so the handles could use as pry bar and should be lighter.

What, no real answers yet? Seems like a good idea to me, doesn't anyone make one?
 
Al Mar or Blackie Collins used to make something like the old Pliers Knife.

Can't seem to find a pic or info.
 
You could get a SOG made tool as they have regular bolts and then change the handle on one side to a tougher steel or reinforce one handle as there woudnt be any tools to get in the way and inhibit closing.
 
If it's a small one, the flat head screwdrive of a Swisstech can be used in a pinch for minor prying work.
 
What size does it have to be?
Some of the smaller vise-grips weigh less than a Leatherman and are very handy.
