Update!

Folks,
I finished this tomahawk a few months back and now I can’t seem to find a sheath to fit it. If you know of someone who can help me out, it will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
BB

Hey folks,
I just want to give you a quick update on my new sheath. I commissioned it a few weeks back and it just came in yesterday. First, I want to thank Steve from Coal Creek Forge for introducing me to Pipeman aka Robin.
After contacting Robin, he agreed to work on a custom sheath for my hawk sight unseen. I sent him a couple of pictures, passed on some suggestion, some crude measurements and as you can see from the pictures, the product simply exceeded my expectations. The fit and finish are superb and in my opinion some of the best work I’ve seen around. I’m extremely pleased with Robin’s work. His communication and professionalism are exemplary. I will recommend him to any of my friends any time. I’m looking forward to working with Robin on future projects. He is GTG in my book.

Thanks…BB

One more picture showing the D ring in the back of the sheath. This option used with a climbing hook will be greatly use when back packing.

Thanks for the kind remarks Ariel, glad you like it, really glad it fit. Thanks to Steve from Coal Creek forge for the recommendation.

Best regards

Robin

Not sure what's more impressive, the sheath itself or the fact that it was made w/o the hawk in hand! Well done (that includes the hawk too).

Thanks Blue
Working from measurements is a bit of a challenge but Ariel did some serious accurate measurements for me so it worked out well it seems. I put welts in both the edge and the bottom edge of all my hawk sheaths and the bottom one is critical to the way the head sits in the sheath. This one has a pretty radical welt in the bottom edge due to the thickness of the blade at the haft.
Thanks for your comments. I'll be posting some pictures of some sheaths I'm making for the cold steel line later today and also some of my personal gear in the official hawk thread.

Best regards

Robin

Yes, Please post some photo's of the sheaths for the Cold Steel models. I have several hawks that I would like to have sheaths for.

Hi there
I will post some pics very soon, just finished a show that I've been preparing for so now have some time. ;-)) Currently I have made patterns for the Trail Hawk and the Rifleman. I actually ordered the thrower but they sent me a rifleman for some reason, will do patterns for all the cold steel hawks if there is interest. Thanks for your interest.

Best regards

Robin
