While camping in the Chippewa National Forest this weekend, our "neighbor" had an axe leaned against his bumper. i noticed it ever time we strolled by. he stopped by to say that he heard me using an axe. i introduced myself as a Plumb Boys Axe user and lover. he said he also had a Plumb, i admitted that i stared at it every time i walked past. he said it was a Hudson Bay, he said he's owned for almost 40 years.(purchased right here in MN). he was very slow to offer to go get it. he FINALLY did. i drooled over it for almost 20 min. after a while he said "Sorry to say this, but please dont ask to buy this from me. i'm going to use this untill i die" i almost got that salty water built up in my eyes. to hear such an honest statement from such a sturdy character. i cant wait to say that to a younger individual.
