Plumb Rockaway date?

Picked this axe up yesterday at local flea market. I would be interested in an approximent date it was made. I had to clean it up this morning. I was able to use the handle it came with by moving the head down about half inch.

I'm gonna' estimate early 1950's.

Made two hooks by mounting wood screws into a couple pieces of deer horn and then just screwing them into the wall.https://flic.kr/p/2gcEAsP
