Plumb sport axe

Picked this Plumb Sport axe up at a garage sale. It's in much better shape than the ones I have seen when I did a web search. I'm interested in knowing when these were made and its approximate value. I checked the big auction site and prices seem to be quite variable. Any input from the experts here is greatly appreciated. Thanks, and have a great New Year.

I agree with both sentiments. I like it because it's unique but I wouldn't pay a whole lot for it. It's a cool piece though.

I have never seen one in the wild and if not for the internet I would not have known they exist at all. Unique and unusual and I have to wonder how well they held up with usage. You have found one in darn nice condition! It will be a certain conversation starter at the next lumberjack convention.

They make good pruning axes. Not super rare but not super common either. They were (obviously) an economy design.
