Spent the weekend cleaning out my garage. I had a bunch of wood to get rid of, 2x4's , 2x10's and lots of plywood. I took the 3/4 inch plywood and started doing some chopping. If you haven't tried this, it's quite hard on edges. Anyway, only 2 knives made it through without any edge damage, a Fehrman First Strike and Busse Steelheart E. My Steelheart E actually seemed to get polished by the plywood. This was after making major impactions in a *lot* of other large blades. Keep in mind that I have thinned out the edge on my SH E to enhance performance. It was the only blade that I used full power swings into the plywood with, and was getting 1.5 - 2 inch penetration on each swing.
Just insane performance.
