PM 2 DLC vs. Satin

Just got my PM2 Camo DLC blade in last night and what a beauty. While carefully inspecting same I noticed the DLC coating had a sort of grainy feel to it, unlike the satin blade. Question is does anyone think/know if this will have any effect on the performance i.e. Cutting ease. Not a major concern, since my folders usually are reserved for cardboard cutting and general house maintenance tasks like that, just curious.

Thanks

In all reality the coating will increase drag. However, the amount is likely so small you will never notice. I've owned a satin PM2 and a DLC Miliatry and I literally couldn't tellany difference in performance.

I also have a DLC PM2 and haven't noticed any more drag when cutting than my satin Spydercos. I'd say you don't have to worry with the DLC coating. Also, I've had my PM2 for about 4 years and the coating is still in great shape (though it's not a heavy user, I EDC'd the knife for about 3 years). You can't go wrong.
