PM 2 in 3V

I hope. Not that 3v's toughness would be utilized in the Para platform but because I like the edge type 3V gives. I'd be just as happy with a Z-WEAR Para & Millie.

Sure they would sell very quickly

Ide be all over a 3V Military. I have no experience with 10V but I would try it in a Military as well

If a 3V PM2 came out Ide also buy that. I am dying for a 3V folder from a production company.

Z-wear is Cruwear. It also has many other names. It is an older steel. PD1 is another currently used name. Different foundries but same recipe. :) Go get one!

I missed the CRUWEAR. I absolutely would pick one up if i could find one @ a reasonable price. It's good stuff

About a year ago I posted a "what about a 3v para" thread even though the cruwear spring just came out. At the time I didn't realize how similar they are. Trust me for a folder like the para i would now choose cruwear over 3v.

All of us Para2 fan boys will buy the sprint runs in any steel released. You know it's true.

3v in a pm2, wouldn't really get the benefits of the steel in a folder that small. 3v makes more sense to me in larger fixed blades.

prefer a military in it, but same issue really.

3V- the name (reputation) is magic, and from what I've read the steel is near magic itself. In a PM2 it would be a fantastic seller.

It might not be enough different from Cruwear that any of us could tell the difference. I've read lots of Cruwear/3V comparisons- that Cruwear has better edge-holding, that Cruwear might be as tough or might not be as tough. Less tough and better edge-holding sounds like M4, and M4 in the PM2 is a great combination. I've heard that 4V has better edge-holding than 3V but is less tough, so 4V sounds like M4. We already have M4 so no need for 4V, but Spyderco has used 4V in the mule so it is only natural for it to come out in a production folder.

I must say I have not been disappointed with Cruwear... For a folder the toughness of 3V might be overkill. Better to have that little bit more abrasion resistance that Cruwear offers.

Assuming the HT is done right for both steels, 3V and Cruwear are so close to one another that its hard for me to believe you would see any real difference between the 2 in day to day use..

I'd much rather see a sprint Para 2(and Millie)in K390, many differences between K390 and Cruwear, a K390 Para2 and Millie would be very useful knives..the K390 Urban is excellent but IMO its kind of small..there is a K390 P4 coming soon but that's a big folding knife..the Para2 hits a good sweet spot for size..

I would like to see a sprint run Military in 4V. I know that wasn't the question but wanted to throw that out there. ;)
