i placed an order with ***zon on the 19th of april for a pm 2 camo/satin. At the time was listed as will ship in 4-5 weeks well my shipping window was 5/16 to 5/24 well tomorrow is the final day in my shipping window. So i figured i'd give them a call only to find out that they are not in stock yet so i asked how they plan on shipping me my knife by tomorrow if they don't even have it in stock yet? their shipping estimates indicate that if it is coming from a third party dealer your shipping times could vary-well the knife supposedly ships directly from ***zon LLC so after getting a supervisor on the line she couldn't apologize enough she said it was a listing error. I said for 5 WEEKS. Bottom line they gave me a 30.00 dollar credit on my next purchase. I'm keeping my order open for now-until i can find a cheaper one...108.00 shipped without my using my 30.00 dollar credit. So if you have an order through them that was supposed to ship already give em a call and bitch up a storm. you know how many i passed up waiting on this one - frustrating!

i have one on order that is suppose to ship June 4 -5. I suppose I will be in the same boat as you.

It's not entirely their fault. If you complain enough they will simply stop listing items that they do not have in stock. Then you won't have a chance to buy a brand new Para 2 at $108, you'll be buying them for $140 if you're lucky enough to get them before they sell out. Para 2s will always sell out in about an hour once people find out they are in stock. You have to be right there when they come up for sale.

Long story short, $108 is a fantastic price for a Para 2. Patience will pay off. It could be worse.

They won't charge your card until it ships.

Problem is they listed approx 4-5 week wait, which is bs and goes much past that timeline.

Yeah, unless you want EXTENDED wait times, the only place to get a PM2 is from secondary market sources like here or the 'Bay'.

I ordered a SPYDERCO PARA-MILITARY2 from KnifeCenter.com on the 16th of Jan 2013. I received the knife about a month ago. This knife has become very, very popular. With tax and shipping it cost me 127.94. So I would suggest to be patience...because it is well worth the delay.

Just keep your order in and the knife will be worth it. I'm starting t see more and more of these threads looking for the Para2 and I understand why. A lot of the people are first time owners of this knife and are willing to start shelling out the extra bucks for it. You really just have to wait for production to catch up. Unless you wanna pay $200+ you won't have a Para2 very soon. Your wait sucks but you just have to adjust and be patient if you truely want the knife.

I waited 4 months for my first Para 2 to arrive.
It was well worth the wait.

Since then, by spending far too much time on the interweb I've been fortunate enough to acquire 2 more including a brown sprint, from good dealers that had them in stock very briefly.

I waited about 2 months before I got a chance to buy a Para 2 for $140. Your story isn't out of the norm, everyone is dealing with the same thing right now.

I guess I'm the odd one here. I don't ever pre-order. There's nothing so special about a given make/model to make it worth the hassle. I will eventually get a PM2, but after the pendulum swings the other way and the dealers are stuck with excess inventory and deep discounting it.

My order is suppose to arrive tomorrow and they havent even been shipped yet.

Mine hits Friday, and I know it won't ship because no one else's has. Well, I am looking forward to a 30 dollar credit, which they better do.

We pay more over here in the UK - but the good reviews of the PM2 had convinced me - so I ordered one from the main distributor here. It arrived today and I am very pleased.

A great combination of size to weight
