PM-PM2 Blade Lengths

greetings all,
picked up a used original para. well carried but unsharpened. when comparing to my current PM2's, I find the blade is considerably shorter. 3 1/8 vs 3 1/2 on the PM2. like I said, it's has original edge so doesn't appear to have been altered. anybody know if the originals were shorter? I had one but can't recall. thanks and best regards.

The original PM's were 3 inches according to this.

Yes, the first gen Paras had shorter blades and slightly bigger handles.
