Got back from a long vacation and was doing a ton of laundry. The Pm2 magnacut salt accidentally went into the washing machine clipped in my jeans pocket.
Lucky to say the blade remained closed and the knife remained clipped in my pocket. Nice pocket clip guys, nice detent. If that knife would have come open in there
it would have been a disaster for about 5 pairs of jeans!

Good job spyderco.

Edit to add: The knife still looks and functions perfectly. Its the black coated magnacut and black G-10 version with the milling. I think I bought it from Spyderco directly.
Ive sold off some knives at 2-3X the cost of this knife because this is a perfect pocket knife.

Lucky guy to have it stay together. I had a customer M4/Red G10 Bugout go through the wash, lost the thumbstud and a couple screws. Benchmade would not allow purchase of the “washed out” items, so Amazon came to the rescue. Now all loctite and snug.

I recently had a Para 3 lightweight go through washer and dryer! The Red FRN scales were from the M390 DLT Exclusive with a 52100 Blade. The heat seemed to “warp” the FRN as the action died. Tried everything during multiple rebuilds to no avail. Had a new set of AWT scales purchased during holiday sale …problem solved! Bonehead move for sure. 🤪

Wow that's crazy. The only instance or two I've had the knife came out looking brand new and still fully assembled.
Yes that’s odd. I’ve sent a few of mine through the washing machine accidentally, all none the worse for wear.

I agree, it was odd. I have had my PM 2 go through with no issues at all. On the plus side, Benchmade advised to send it in, but being in Canada, it was likely CBSA would confiscate it on the way back in. Oddly enough, none of the screws had loctite, or all the loctite was washed out. All have blue loctite now.
