Hi guys!

When I came home from work today, I realized that the postman left a package for me. It contained my long-waited Spyderco ParaMilitary2. I´ve been waiting for this knife for almost three months now. It seemed to be sold out in Germany and even whole Europe. But the main-retailer from Spyderco in Germany got some and shot me an email. I bought it without asking or thinking too long...

I asked for some recommendations about the Military, ParaMilitary2 and Police right here http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php/987246-Military-or-ParaMilitary-or-Police

So here we are.

I´m really impressed by this knife. I went out of the box straight to the backpocket of pants.

The whole knife is a featherweight and feels great in hand.

I didn´t want to make another one of the roundabout 2,536 reviews of this. ;) But I couldn´t do another thing to make some pics and share it here.

Sorry for the poor light, but winter is not the best season for making knife-pics...

I´m really happy with this knife. It will follow me in the future, definitelly!

Ok, we'll you've sold me. I think I will need I get my hands on one. Too bad it's the holiday season and shipping is soooo slow.

I carried it sitting in front of the TV and having some beer. It was resting in my backpocket. It has (a Spyderco-typical) slim design and that in combination with the featherweight is the knife hardly to feel inside the pocket. An allover great knife.

Spyderco made a big deal with this knife! Definitelly! As R-D already mentioned; this will be an EDC knife for me, for sure. :D

Great news Andi!
The Para IS one of the PERFECT folders! Enjoy, my friend!

Congrats on the Para2 Andi! They're definitely one of the very best folding knives.

I was never a fan of the looks of the PM2, but a user does more than just look at the knife. I had read about how good they were so I bought one from the sales forum here without ever handling one. Out of the box it felt and looked perfect and it's a treat to carry it.

^ I think you've tried your fair share Rev:D, Seriously one of the best knives around:thumbup:

Very nice Andi, sometimes even if you love the VW bettle or the Mini Cooper is not bad to try for a while a 200 hp auto parking car :D
I love mine too

Even though is a little big and terrifying for people in my country to EDC it, sometimes it come to work with me in my back pocket.
See you around

Congrats on finally getting your hands on the Para2.

I thought your pics were great. Some nice shots there.

THanks for the nice words, folks! :)

I really appreciate that knife very much. Today I finished insulating my house with glass-wool and the PM2 had to do some pretty dirty work with that glass-wool-sheets (thickness 5 cm) which I had to cut into pieces for fixing them onto the roof. A not-so-nice-carpenters-work. After this the S30V blade is not really that sharp, but after some treatment with stones and leather it´s even better than the factory edge now. But for cutting glass-wool-sheets that are covered with a thin aluminiumsheet - that steel is just great!

I followed me today, next to the might Otter Mercator K55K in nice carbon steel :D

I hated the look of the PM2 until I held one. Now it's my favorite EDC. It started the first of several Spyderco purchases.

That's awesome, I love to see a nice knife put to work. :-). Well done.

You are welcome but you would have ended up here anyway. :) You have great taste in knives.
A chisel ground Spyderco would be my ultimate EDC!
