I wouldn't put it in a vise. You're basically creating a shear point. If you can find a vise with a flat "anvil" on it you might be able to hammer it out with light tapping.[/QUOTE

The only thing I know you are missing is that Spyderco runs their steel hard enough that it is as likely the blade will break as it is to straighten.
You could certainly be right. Then again why the blade did not break but rather bent in the first place?Or maybe the OP heated the blade before bending it?![]()
It could already be broken, ie the fracture could already have begun on a microscopic level without being visible. If it hasn’t, he should be able to return it to original shape as long as it isn’t rushed.
