PM2 compression lock -- does yours 'click' when disengaged?

Quick question...I bought a standard PM2 about a month ago and when I disengage the compression lock, it has a 'click' and almost catches for a second before disengaging.

I just received both M390 and S35VN versions yesterday, both BNIB...both of them do not do this. They are completely silent and don't 'catch' at all...just feels like I am slightly bending a piece of thin metal.

Is the issue with my regular version considering these two are similar? To be honest, the regular feels more solid that way (but is just my perception). What does your compression lock feel/sound like?

My new PM2 Digi Camo Satin blade has a definite "click" when the lock disengages... It seems to be getting quieter with some use. Perhaps it just needs to break-in some. Like you, the click does not bother me and makes for a solid feel.

It just needs to break in a bit. Also, there could be a but of oil on the lock face causing the lock to engage slightly deeper than it would otherwise which could be causing the stick. Either way, a bit of pencil graphite or sharpie on the lock face should cure the stick temporarily until it breaks in.

Mine definately has a distinct sound when you open and close it, but not one I would describe as a piece of metal bending. I quite like the sound actually.
