After much waiting, bidding, and dreaming - I finally stumbled on an S30V Para 2 in Green Digicam, snagging the last one from an Amazon merchant at a "normal" price.

Shipped quickly and was waiting for me when I came home today.

I have owned other Spydies, including Police and Dragonfly models (and Endura, and others) - but even the big stainless Police was nowhere near as solid feeling and moving as the Para 2.

Nice work Sal. It's a gem of a knife. Now think I see what all the hooplah was about. Very happy new owner - I have every confidence that it will continue to impress over the months and years. :D

Im just days away from my first PM2 :) picked mine up here on the exchange getting anxious haha

Para2 is just simply an awesome knife, got my first one maybe a month ago and I have 4 already!

I have tons of high end folders, some that cost 4-5 times as much as the PM2. Yet 9 out of 10 days I find the PM2 in my pocket. My favorite folder yet!

Grats to everyone here getting their first PM2! When I got my first I swear the damn thing radiated in my hands and I couldn't believe I finally got the legendary, fabled blade. It's one helluva knife! :D

Congratz!
The Para is one of the finest folders EVER. Never sell it.
I just got a NIB D2 Para, if I may. Thank you Al.

Right on! Got mine yesterday. I feel kinda bad because I never really tried too hard but just happened to be at the right place at the right time and picked one up at a good price, had to see what all the fuss is about for myself. Glad I did, great knife and will see lots of use

Para 2 ctsxhp in my pocket more than 50% of the time I'm on land....really well executed for an edc

Yeah, so... I already cut myself with it within a couple hours of owning it lol. Luckily it a very minor cut.

Ahhhh I just snagged one at one of the big dealers today, I guess I just got lucky to find it in stock. I know how you're feeling right now.

Finally getting one of my own!!! i'm so exited!! the great thing is, since i live in Canada i get to wait 3 to 4 weeks!!! its like never ending knife foreplay

I finally picked a black G10/S30V one up on a trade last week just to see what all the hype was about. I expected it to be a decent design, any Spyderco I've handled to date is after all. What I didn't expect was that the PM2 lives up to all the hype and then some. It's ergonomics are great and the grip variation for delicate or harder slicing is nigh-on-perfect. I didn't expect anything to equal the smoothness of my Benchmade Rift with the Axis lock but the PM2 proved me wrong there as well since it is every bit as smooth. Nicely done to the design team at Spyderco, the PM2 is an all-around winner.

The toughest part now is waiting until my new scales by Allen Putman arrive next week. The red anodized snake-belly pattern on the scaleswill bring the PM2's looks up to the same level as it's unreal design.

So this is why I can't find a PM2 at a reasonable price. Because people buy 5 and 10 of them for themselves as closet knives...
