PM2 for N5

I'm not really taking to my black/satin PM2. I have an opportunity to trade it for a Native 5 which I'd like to try out. They're pretty comparable cost and use wise, correct? My knife has been taken apart and oiled, used the edge on lightweight material (never sharpened), and has had the clip switched to tip up, but is otherwise brand new. Would you guys want a straight across trade for an equally hardly used- nearly new knife? My potential trader has talked about trading plus $40 (my PM2 and $40 for his G10 Native). It seems high, but I also have a knife sitting here not being used. I'd like to hear from you if this seems too steep, fair, or what. I know I'm not getting a deal, but not being a collector, and not using the knife, it's just sitting in my drawer.

No worries. I was just posting those to show they are nearly the same price. Should have put my thoughts on the page too.

But yes, what neffarious said.

It is definitely not a good deal. The knives are comparably priced as it is. Adding money skews it heavily into the other persons favor.

BAD deal!

Definitely not that rare. If anything sell your PM2 in exchange and buy new N5.

Agreed. Do this. ^^^^

You'll have no problems selling your PM2 and the G10 Native 5 IS available. I was just getting ready to post the same link that FDE posted. If you're not stuck on G10, the FRN version with S30V is a lighter, easier to carry, EDC. A few bucks cheaper, too.

The trade? Not such a good deal, IMHO. But I love the N5 & own 3 of them. Rarely carry my PM2s, but carry my FRN N5 often.

Best of luck on your decision. :)
