PM2 or Delica 4.. which do you prefer?

For EDC?

I have both. And I initially thought i would prefer the PM2 on a daily basis over the delica, but i find myself gravitating to my Delica 4 most of, if not all of the time.

I'm curious what your preference is out of these 2, for EDC?

Get a Delica with Lil Para scales :D

My daily tasks don't need a larger blade, so Iike to carry my Delica more, it's at that perfect size. I carry the PM2 mostly just to switch things up.
 
I own both. Actually, I own several Delicas and one PM2. I carry and use a Delica more than my PM2, by far. The PM2 is a good knife, but for whatever reason it's never resonated with me like it has for so many others, and I can't figure out why.

I love my Delica with the wave. Just an all around perfect edc. Many people who don't know better are tirned off by the FRN. Honestly though I think the PM2 is more knife than I really need for most EDC stuff. Also I can't stand the PM2s weak tip. I like to be able to do light prying wothout worrying.

That said I prefer my waved Endura to both of them.
 
I prefer the PM2 but I carry the Delica much more as I work in an office
 
I sort of outgrew the Para2. Or maybe I just fell off the hype train? :eek: Anyway, they used to be my too favorite folders but I have since mostly moved on to the Military and Delica as my two favorite folders. I usually carry two knives and they are most often those two.

So to answer your question, carry both. One for "work" and one for precision. It's hard to leave the Delica at home with it's thin blade stock and slicey grind. It weighs so little and takes up so little space just bring it along as well. :D The Para2/Delica combo is hard to beat!

I'm quoting this because well... I feel the exact same way. I like both choices but at the end of the day I'm going PM2. And I really dig the compression lock.
 
Like most people here, I own both. I tend to carry my delica 4 more, even though the pm2 is more robust. But the delica is a perfect size, incredibly light and a great slicer
 
Had both.. Gifted the PM2 to a LEO friend.. Also gifted the Delica to my LEO Daughter.. And picked up another Delica for me!! John

Yeah, I'm not sure what it is. I mean, i love all of the qualities of the PM2. I guess maybe for me what it boils down to is size. As much as i wish that my daily tasks required something no smaller than the PM2, unfortunately that's not the case. So the delica ends up fitting my needs better.

I just wish they'd shrink down the PM2 a bit, but still make it exactly the same knife. Like they did with the RAT 1&2.

Its funny though, because even if i never use the PM2 again, i still wont sell it. I love the look, feel, and the conpression lock way too much. Its fun to just pull out and play with....

I don't have a Delica, but I do have a PM2 and a Native 5 (comparable in size to Delica). For everyday use, I'd take the Native most every time over the PM2.

I'm guessing you didn't like the Para 3? It is a bit chunky, more like a squashed PM2 than a shrunken one. I do love the compression lock though, I have a Lil Para Delica and as perfect as it is, I think a compression lock would be the best icing on the cake.

bearfacedkiller bearfacedkiller I have actually never considered carrying both of them before. That's it I'm trying it out tomorrow! :D

Well I haven't handled a Para 3 yet, but like you said, its more of a chunky, squashed version of it lol. The looks of it just don't appeal to me, unfortunately.
 
I don't have a pm2, but when I got my Delica every other folder I own started being neglected. There's just something about this design that gets it right.
 
I like PM2 over Delica but I EDC Delica not the PM2.
When I am not at work I always grab PM2 over Delica.
 
fondling and flicking: PM2
daily cutting and using: Delica
if I can have only one of the two: PM2
